Converse x Batman Collection (Batman 80th Anniversary)

Did you get your pair of Batman Chucks from their 80th Anniversary Collection? Check it out here.

I bought my favorite pair in the collection, the all over Batman symbol print. The print features logos throughout the years, which makes it a great set to have for Batman's 80th Anniversary this year. This one even comes in kids' sizes so I bought one for my friend's 3-year-old son. I couldn't resist because they're so stinkin' cute (both the shoes and my friend's son) and it was his birthday so it was just a good excuse to buy more Batman things.

Check out more photos of my shoes below and the clean box it came in. I love the "80" on the back of the right shoe and the Batman 80th Anniversary logo on the inside sole. Let me know which of the Batman Converses on their site are your favorite!

I love #Batman80, so much amazing Batman stuff on the market. But I'm not sure my wallet is much of a fan. #LongLivetheBat

Batman Beyond Deluxe Limited Edition on Blu-ray and Digital

My copy of Batman Beyond was shipped to me last month and I know all my fellow Batman fans have seen pictures of other people's copies floating around already, but of course I had to share mine!

I purchased my copy from Amazon, which people who really care about the outer packaging should be weary of. My copy of Batman Beyond arrived in much better condition than my copy of Batman: The Animated Series but there were was still a squished corner which you can see below in the first image (top left corner of the box). The Funko Pop packaging inside the main box was also mysteriously ripped. There was no indication of how it ripped so it just leads me to believe that it was ripped before it was even packaged. So weird. All that aside, the packaging is still really nice.

Since these are limited edition, similar to Batman: The Animated Series on Blu-Ray, all packages were marked with a number. Mine was marked 46,881 of 50,000. If you purchased one, what number did you get?

The Blu-ray set came with a very reflective Batman Beyond Funko Pop in the signature Batman 80th Anniversary black box. I stopped collecting Funko Pops earlier this year so this is my first Funko Pop in the black box, which I have to admit I really like. You can see the mysterious tear on the front of the Funko box in the first photo below. Boo, Amazon. Based on the way Amazon responded to the previous uproar over the way they handled Batman: The Animated Series shipments, I figured it wasn't worth it to bring it up with them. It's kind of a bummer because their customer service is usually so great. Overall, though, this Funko Pop is a fun one and it's so reflective that there's just no hiding myself in the reflection as I'm taking photos of it. What are your thoughts on the Pop?

The Blu-rays also came with 4 collectible lenticular cards (kind of reminds me of holographic images) featuring some of the Batman Beyond animation art.

The best and most important part of this order, of course, are the Blu-rays themselves. Check out the packaging below. It includes a Blu-Ray and digital copy of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker too, which I'd say is my 2nd favorite Batman animated movie behind Batman: Under the Red Hood. You can see some of the villains from the series featured on the actual Blu-Rays discs and other packaging, but I'm a little bit bummed that Inque, one of my favorite Batman Beyond villains, isn't featured anywhere on any of this stuff at all. What gives?

I'm still in the middle of getting Mickey, my husband, through all of Batman: The Animated Series, but will absolutely be making him watch all of Batman Beyond with me right after. It's been so long since I've watched these (even though I own it all on DVD) so I'm looking forward to rewatching all the things I've forgotten.

If you're interested in purchasing your own copy and you're concerned about the packaging, definitely try ordering from Warner Bros. instead. Amazon is 0 for 2 at this point. Yikes. If you do order yourself a copy, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Batman x Rooster Teeth Collection (Batman 80th Anniversary)

I know I haven't posted in a while but I really wanted to share these awesome Batman 80th Anniversary pieces by Rooster Teeth. I love these items I purchased from Rooster Teeth's collaboration with DC Comics. Not the best pictures, but it's the Batman stuff that counts.

First up is this Batman zip up hoodie with a fully printed front pocket featuring panels from Detective Comics #27, Batman's first appearance. The inside of the hood features the same print as well (2nd photo below). Super comfortable. I've been wearing it all week. This is a small and I'm about 5'3", 135lbs if anybody is gauging what size might work best for them.

I also purchased this Batman silhouette pocket shirt. It's a little bit large on me so I would go with an x-small for the ladies who might be my size. I do love the design though! Check out the details including the stitching inside the collar, the text on the sleeve (10¢, No. 27, May 1939), and the Detective Comics logo stitched to the bottom of the shirt. It also came in this super adorable box designed to look like Detective Comics #27! It wasn't necessary, but Batman fans will appreciate the little extra details. 😀

I think my favorite purchase is this Batman hoodie though. It's got "Batman" printed in big white letters in the front and an enlarged print of the Detective Comics #27 cover on the back. It's super comfortable and I personally love the way this small fits on me.

Last, you may have noticed the 5-panel hat I'm wearing along with the Batman hoodie, which was also purchased at Rooster Teeth. The hat had panels from Detective Comics #27 printed on the inside. The inside looks like it's printed on a satin-like material, thus the sheen. I like that they put a bit of thought into some of the smaller details. It makes for an overall fun collection.

Let me know what you think. If you like any of these items or are interested in seeing the rest of the collection, they're still on sale on the Rooster Teeth website. Check it out here. They're also releasing a Batman x Achievement Hunter, Rooster Teeth's video gaming arm, collaboration collection on Black Friday this year. Make sure to keep an eye out for it. I'm not as familiar with Achievement Hunter, but still interested. There's already a long sleeve I've got my eyes on based on what I see from this sneak peak here.
